PARENT TRAINING
The K.E.N. Project provides training programs, workshops and conferences for parents of children with disabilities and professionals who work with children with special needs.
The K.E.N. Project conducts a meeting every month for families of children with any and all types of disabilities. During these meetings, parents are given the opportunity to present the issues that they are currently experiencing. An Advocate and an Attorney respond with suggestions, referrals and ideas for solving the problems. The other parents offer their experiences and what has worked for them. These meetings usually take place on the second Wednesday of the month from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at United Cerebral Palsy's (UCP) offices located at 6430 Independence Avenue, Woodland Hills, CA 91367.
